Development Novera has as an established track record as a developer of renewable generating facilities and is developing a strong portfolio of new projects. In addition to our two operational wind sites, Novera has received planning consent for three wind farms with a combined potential capacity of 72MW: Gordonstown Hill, Aberdeenshire - June 2009; Glenkerie, Scottish Borders - September 2008; and A'Chruach, Argyll and Bute - May 2008. Novera has a further four sites in planning with an aggregate potential capacity of 49MW. Novera has 29 sites and 663MW of potential wind capacity in the pre-planning and appraisal stages. WIND DEVELOPMENT TEAM Novera has an experienced, multi-discipline wind team with expertise in engineering, environmental management, energy, planning, power purchase, finance and construction. Members of the wind team have successfully completed more than 400MW of wind capacity. The Novera team has a good track record in planning expertise, obtaining planning permission for the Lissett Airfield Wind Farm in seven months; A'Chruach in 5 months; Glenkerie in 9 months and Gordonstown Hill in 6 months - a significantly shorter timescale than typically achieved in the UK. CONSULTATION As a responsible developer we recognise the importance of wide and open consultation throughout the planning process through newsletters, presentations, one-to-one meetings and public exhibitions. Comments from local residents are addressed in our final designs before we submit formal planning applications. We consult after a planning application has been submitted and, if consent is granted, continue to liaise throughout the construction and operation of the wind farm. COMMUNITY FUND The Community Funding Scheme that Novera runs at Mynydd Clogau has led to improvements to local roads and the establishment of two Trust Funds to ensure that some of the revenue generated by the wind farm directly benefits the local Community.
